Former ME Sufferer from Congleton dedicates her life to helping others. One of the UK’s brightest health experts is on a mission to inspire people across the country to beat fatigue.
Meet Michelle Greaves – she’s a vibrant, bubbly and determined health expert from Congleton. As well as being a trained hypnotherapist and life coach, she’s currently completing a nutritional therapy degree. Alongside this, she runs her successful business helping people with chronic fatigue all over the UK. When you read this, it's hard to believe that Michelle suffered from ME for 3 years. Being overwhelmed with cycles of feeling OK, followed by days of exhaustion after doing anything energetic left Michelle with anxiety, stress and unable to concentrate. Whist at University she spent hours worrying about what the next day would hold, whether she would be able to continue with her studies and more importantly, whether she would ever be free from being trapped in the boom and bust energy patterns. At her lowest point she fainted at the wheel of her car. Michelle suffered from the condition that can turn people from positive, active and happy individuals, into quiet, weak and vulnerable people unable to function. She spent years not being able to live a normal routine and was left wondering what the point of life was. Her family and friends struggled with how to help and when Michelle did try to get the advice she needed, she says what was out there was not nearly enough. "The huge problem when I found out I had ME was the lack of information available about the condition. This was extremely daunting and left me feeling very confused. You are told that this condition has no cure and it is something you need to learn to manage, but throughout, I was determined never to give up and one day be free of ME." Michelle never gave up on her goal. Despite doctors, charities and a wealth of information online telling her to learn to live with the condition, she refused to believe this was the way it had to be. Michelle spent over £15,000 on research, detoxes and taking courses around the world to help with her recovery and, together with her unfailingly positive attitude and unstoppable belief that she would beat ME, she took her health into her own hands and got her life back on track. Her research into the condition and her health soon made her realise that instead of pumping herself with drugs and not getting better, a natural approach was making much more of a lasting positive impact. She continues: "Today I have boundless vitality and that’s because I embarked on a four year programme of dedicated research into ME. I discovered the secrets of bringing balance into my life. Helping others to transform their lives in this way has become my mission and I am now dedicated to sharing my secrets with others. My theory is ME isn’t something you should learn to live with, but something you should learn to live without." Michelle now helps other ME sufferers to get their lives back and is running a three day course in Congleton next month for people to learn her techniques. The course helps ME sufferers to fully understand the condition through to its root causes and teaches the tools they need to make a full recovery. Michelle also offers a Complete Recovery Programme, which includes the course as well as scientific testing specific to fatigue related conditions and 3 months support via phone and email after the course. She is extremely passionate about helping others and uses her extensive knowledge about health and wellbeing to assist those who need help. The graduate from Manchester University is also a trained NLP and EFT practitioner. The 3 day Recovery course in Congleton is running from 25th – 27th November at the Alexandra Court Boutique Hotel in the town and will have a maximum of 10 sufferers attending to ensure participants receive the highest quality help and support. The course is designed for anyone suffering from ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Adrenal Fatigue, Adrenal Exhaustion or Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome and explores an integrated approach to the condition. It also covers how you can not only learn to deal with chronic exhaustion, but how to overcome it completely. It’s focused on the belief that it is possible to recover, and by turning negative thoughts into positive ones and taking steps to ensure your health and lifestyle are in order; rather than being controlled by ME, you can be back in control of your health for good. Michelle emphasises there are no magic wands to cure people, but instead the course teaches people the 5 steps to health and these are then practiced when participants are back at home, allowing them to be free of ME. She is proof that a positive attitude and guidance can help you live your life and follow your dreams.
