New boost to Congleton social scene for people who want more fun in their lives

A LOCAL businesswoman has launched a brand new social network for Cheshire people who want more fun in their lives or may have found that their current circumstances have meant that their social circle isn’t as close at hand they would like it to be

Julie Hadall (who also owns SkinFirst in Congleton) says she was bored of never doing anything exciting in the evenings or at weekends because her friends didn’t live close enough or said it wasn’t their ‘thing’.

So now she has set up Go SOUP, a network for people in a similar situation who want to get more out of life.

Julie said: “It’s for people who want to do more with their spare time than just sitting in watching the telly. Those who would like to do things, but for one reason or another never get around to it.

“You might want to go fell walking, but you never do because you’re friends don’t want to. Or you might fancy clay pigeon shooting but don’t’ know of anyone else that fancies it or maybe you just like socialising in bars and restaurants and want to have more people to do so with.

www.go-soup.co.uk   gives you a handy network of people who are in exactly the same boat and want to soup-up their spare time.

Inspired by social media websites like Facebook and Twitter, the website offers a forum where members of www.go-soup.co.uk can leave messages for other people or arrange to take part in activities ranging from adrenalin sport to theatre trips and comedy nights.

“There is always a massive calendar of activities on offer and we get great discounts for them.  We also have many free events for members.

“But it’s also a place where you could just pop onto the website and ask if anyone else fancies joining you in walking the dogs.

”The emphasis is on fun and making the most of your spare time. SOUP stands for Sort Up Your Playtime.  And Soup is a metaphor for the business – a great mix of interesting ingredients blended together for fulfilling dish!

Since launching earlier in the year Go SOUP has already established membership and run activities around Cheshire and Congleton, there are regular Congleton Mixes, meals out and a variety of activities in and around Congleton.

Join Go SOUP for a taster session on any of the events, plus anyone joining the group in February will receive one month’s additional free membership AND £10 voucher towards any paid events. For more information on joining go to www.go-soup.co.uk   or call 08450 348 067
