Marton Primary School bear-naming day

We had a lovely day with Lady Bromley Davenport coming Marton Primary school to officially name our 'Cheshire Bear'.

She said a few words and cut our beautiful bear cake in school uniform specially made by Millrise of Biddulph. Year 6 pupils served cups of tea and scones with jam and cream and homemade cakes, there was also some delicious Red Cheshire Cheese to try.

Year 6 also performed to Jungle books Bear necessities to loud applause!

All the school children (209)had a shortbread teddy biscuit too, with nursery children bringing in a teddy for the day.

Cheshire bear is going in to bear hospital for a couple of days repair  - sunburn!
