We knew it. Now others know it. We're the best!
Congleton has been short listed in the How-Do UK Public Services Communications Awards 2011 in three categories.
We have been shortlisted amongst names like Westminster City Council, Keep Britain Tidy and the NHS.
The awards will take place at the Comedy Store in Manchester on Tuesday 15 November 2011, and the event will feature an afternoon conference, which will provide an opportunity for communicators to explore range strategies that seek to manage the impact of the economic downturn in the public sector. Rather than just focusing on doing more for less in campaigns, the session will highlight strategic approaches linked to leadership, team management and partnership working. The seminar will be interactive and participants will have an opportunity to share their own experiences.

![]() ![]() As you can see from the shortlisted bids, once again Congleton continues to punch well above its weight. We are up against major cities, counties and authorities with huge budgets and massive resources.
This is an indication of what a group of willing volunteers and the creative minds of our school children can achieve.Congratulations to the volunteers and the whole town.
Here’s to the 15th of November to see if we can do a David to our Goliath co nominees.
Thanks to all involved.
