Congleton Rugby Union Football Club

Congleton Rugby Union Football Club is based in the centre of Congleton with the Clubhouse on Park Street at the former Woodman Public House with changing facilities attached. We have four full size pitches on Hankinson's field, Congleton Park with two on Back Lane Playing fields. The Club provides Rugby for boys and girls up to school year 7 and for boys and men in all age grade categories. The youngest players are 6 years old and the oldest is 65 this year so we can cater for most ages and abilities.

The Club enjoys the support of many local companies which allows us to keep costs to players and parents at a minimum, providing the lowest cost Rugby in the area. As well as training and matches, the Club also provides social activities and often raises funds for charities locally and nationally.

With Rugby first being played in Congleton in 1860, Congleton is one of the oldest Rugby Clubs in existence. The current Club was reformed in 1931 and Rugby has been played in the town continuously from that date.
