The Waggon and Horses

A warm welcome awaits at the Waggon & Horses...

Inside the Waggon and Horses Eaton, the traditional country inn look and feel is preserved, with comfortable seats and a real log fire on cold days complemented by the warm welcome of a family-run pub.

The pub serves draught beers drawn from traditional beer engines as well as a selection of cooled lagers.   There is seating in the bar for informal meals and snacks, as well as in the restaurant for more formal occasions, with a menu designed to cater to all tastes.

For the summer there is a large garden overlooking open countryside, with a children's play area to allow parents to enjoy the good weather in peace! There is also ample car parking, and the front entrance is equipped with a ramp to allow wheelchair access.

The restaurant serves freshly prepared food from an extensive Bar/A la carte menu, and on Sundays traditional roasts. The excellent food is accompanied by a wine list featuring both European and New World

The Cottage is a beautifully converted 18th Century barn adjacent to the pub.

It houses six well-appointed executive en-suite bedrooms, each with direct dial telephone, colour television, fax and computer modem points, trouser press and hairdryer, tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Each room is individually and tastefully decorated.  Disabled guests are welcome, with good facilities and access provided

For Caravan Club members, the Certificated Location (CL) makes a great place to escape to - in the countryside yet with all the convenience of being close to the shops and amenities offered by the town of Congleton, not to mention the advantage of being only a few steps from the pub and inviting restaurant.

This is a quiet site in a peaceful setting, offering five well-maintained grassy pitches with mains hook-up, water, chemical toilet disposal point and refuse bins.  The area is very well kept and planted with a delightful selection of shrubs and flowers, making it more like a private garden than an average CL.  It is screened and sheltered by mature trees at the back, and looks out over the pub garden to one side, and to open countryside to the other side and to the rear
