The Waggon and HorsesA warm welcome awaits at the Waggon & Horses... Inside the Waggon and Horses Eaton, the traditional country inn look and feel is preserved, with comfortable seats and a real log fire on cold days complemented by the warm welcome of a family-run pub. The pub serves draught beers drawn from traditional beer engines as well as a selection of cooled lagers. There is seating in the bar for informal meals and snacks, as well as in the restaurant for more formal occasions, with a menu designed to cater to all tastes. For the summer there is a large garden overlooking open countryside, with a children's play area to allow parents to enjoy the good weather in peace! There is also ample car parking, and the front entrance is equipped with a ramp to allow wheelchair access. The restaurant serves freshly prepared food from an extensive Bar/A la carte menu, and on Sundays traditional roasts. The excellent food is accompanied by a wine list featuring both European and New World The Cottage is a beautifully converted 18th Century barn adjacent to the pub. It houses six well-appointed executive en-suite bedrooms, each with direct dial telephone, colour television, fax and computer modem points, trouser press and hairdryer, tea- and coffee-making facilities. Each room is individually and tastefully decorated. Disabled guests are welcome, with good facilities and access provided For Caravan Club members, the Certificated Location (CL) makes a great place to escape to - in the countryside yet with all the convenience of being close to the shops and amenities offered by the town of Congleton, not to mention the advantage of being only a few steps from the pub and inviting restaurant. This is a quiet site in a peaceful setting, offering five well-maintained grassy pitches with mains hook-up, water, chemical toilet disposal point and refuse bins. The area is very well kept and planted with a delightful selection of shrubs and flowers, making it more like a private garden than an average CL.
